MIRI – The Miri City Council has carried out road maintenance and patching works at two locations in the city to address damaged road surfaces and improve conditions for motorists and other road users.
The works were undertaken near Lorong Aru Tengah 2 on 14 September 2026, followed by maintenance activities along Jalan Lautan 1 on 15 September 2026.
According to the council, the repairs were carried out in response to damage affecting sections of the road surface. Such defects can affect the comfort of road users and, if left unattended, may also present safety concerns.
The patching works focused on restoring affected sections of the roads and improving the condition of the driving surface.
Following completion of the maintenance, the damaged areas were repaired to provide a smoother surface for local residents and other road users travelling through the affected locations.
