Special Child Loses Loving FRU Dad in Tragic Teluk Intan Crash
Teluk Intan, 13 May 2025 – The tragic road accident on Jalan Chikus – Sungai Lampam has left a deep wound in the hearts of many, but none more than a 13-year-old special needs child, Muhd Raqin Najmi, who lost his beloved father, Sergeant Mohd Roslan Abd Rahim, in the horrific incident.
Nine members of the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) lost their lives when the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in a fatal crash yesterday. Among them was 46-year-old Sergeant Mohd Roslan, a dedicated officer, husband, and most importantly—a loving father.
Muhd Raqin, the eldest of three siblings, shared a very special bond with his father. Described by family members as inseparable, the father and son duo would often sleep side by side. Though young Raqin may not fully understand the finality of death, the absence of his father has already created a void no one can fill.
“No one knows what he truly feels. He may not understand the meaning of loss, or maybe he does, but just doesn’t know how to express it,” said his aunt, who requested not to be named. “But one thing is clear—he has lost the only place where he could pour his heart out and be spoiled without limits.”
In a touching moment last night, Muhd Raqin was given the chance to pay his last respects to his father at FRU Unit 5 in Sungai Senam. As he stood by the casket, silent and still, it was a reminder of the quiet pain children like him bear in moments of unspeakable tragedy.
While Sergeant Roslan is no longer physically present, the memories and love he gave will live on in his son’s heart. The family hopes that one day, Muhd Raqin will come to understand that while life is fleeting, love remains eternal. — Bernama
