The operation, which was led by Ahmad Tarmizi Kemeri, also saw the presence of senior officials including Deputy Director-General (Operations) Dato’ Lokman Effendi Ramli, Operations Division Director Haji Basri Othman, and Enforcement Chief Yusdi Morshidi. Their presence on the ground reflected the seriousness of the operation and the department’s commitment to strengthening enforcement activities.

During the raid, several individuals attempted to escape by taking dangerous actions. Some were seen climbing the structure of a half-finished building, while others tried to break through the zinc fencing surrounding the construction site. Despite their efforts, the escape attempt failed as enforcement officers had already secured the area in a strategic and well-coordinated manner. Officers acted quickly to ensure that no one managed to flee the scene.

The operation was also attended by members of the media, who were invited to observe the enforcement process firsthand. This move was seen as part of the department’s effort to maintain transparency and build stronger ties with media organisations. The presence of journalists provided the public with a clearer understanding of how such operations are conducted and the level of planning involved.

Following the operation, a total of 45 foreigners were detained, comprising 39 men and 6 women aged between 21 and 50. Initial checks found that they had committed various immigration offences, including not having valid travel documents, misuse of passes, and overstaying in the country.

All detainees have been taken to the immigration depot for further investigation and legal action under existing laws. Authorities stressed that such operations will continue to ensure compliance with immigration regulations and to maintain public order.

The successful execution of this operation highlights the firm stance taken by enforcement agencies in addressing immigration violations. It also serves as a reminder that strict action will be taken against those who fail to comply with the law.

In conclusion, the coordinated effort by enforcement officers not only prevented a risky escape but also reinforced the importance of ongoing vigilance in safeguarding the country’s legal and security framework.
