Elderly Woman Injured as Car Overturns in Jalan Setia Raja Crash

KUCHING, Feb 19 – A 77-year-old woman sustained minor injuries after her car overturned in an accident at Jalan Setia Raja near the Tabuan Jaya police barracks around 1:00 p.m. today.

According to an eyewitness, the elderly driver lost control of her vehicle after colliding into the rear of a Mitsubishi Pajero. The impact caused her car to crash into the road divider and overturn.

Passersby rushed to assist the woman, safely pulling her out of the overturned vehicle. A kind-hearted driver offered her a seat in their car while waiting for medical assistance. Fortunately, she only suffered minor hand injuries.

The accident caused traffic congestion along Jalan Setia Raja as road users slowed down to check the scene. Police officers arrived shortly after to investigate the cause of the accident and manage the traffic flow.

Motorists are advised to remain cautious while driving, especially in busy areas, to prevent accidents.
