MIRI: A fire broke out early this morning, destroying two vehicles and a motorcycle parked in front of a house at Lorong Harmoni 3B-2, Tudan.

Lutong Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Senior Fire Officer II Henry Jugah, said they received an emergency call about the incident at around 4.42 am.

“Upon arrival, firefighters found that a Mitsubishi Pajero was on fire, while a Modenas Kriss motorcycle, which had been left unused for a long time, was completely burnt. A Proton Wira nearby suffered about five per cent damage from the flames,” Henry stated.

Fire Contained in Less Than an Hour

Firefighters acted quickly, using a 100-foot water stream and a high-pressure water jet from a machinery tank to put out the blaze.

“The fire was successfully controlled by 5.20 am, and the entire operation ended at 5.35 am,” Henry confirmed.

No Injuries, Cause Under Investigation

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the total amount of damage sustained.

Residents in the area are urged to stay vigilant and ensure their vehicles are parked safely to prevent such incidents in the future.
