SERIAN: The implementation of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) in the State Assembly (DUN) area of Tebedu continues actively with a total allocation of RM5 million for this year.
State Assemblyman for Tebedu, Dr. Simon Sinang Bada, on Thursday officiated the symbolic handover of RTP allocations amounting to RM800,000. The fund covers RM420,000 for new development projects and RM380,000 for projects that have been completed within the past six months.
The submission of project sites and handover of completed works involved seven villages. Of these, three villages received new projects, while four villages were beneficiaries of completed developments.
Completed projects include:
- St. Andrew Church, Kampung Daha Kisau
- Multipurpose Hall, Kampung Kuhum Mawang
- Multipurpose Hall, Kampung Tubih Mawang
- St. Holy Trinity Church, Kampung Pichin
According to the Public Works Department (JKR) Serian, contractors will begin site work starting next Monday, with the department tasked with monitoring and implementation of all ongoing RTP projects.
Dr. Simon emphasised the continuous commitment of the state government in upgrading the standard of living and infrastructure in rural areas through the RTP initiative.
