RPR LANDEH, BATU KITANG – The vibrant spirit of Sarawak’s cultural heritage was on full display as residents gathered for the Takai Milling Carrier Closure Ceremony held in Lane 6, Taman Sri Permai, in conjunction with the end of the Gawai season. Organised by the local community and supported by the family of Mr. Katang, the celebration brought people of all ages together in a joyful evening of tradition, gratitude, and unity.

The event, which marked the closing of Gawai Dayak festivities, featured a symbolic presentation of contributions and an exchange of traditional souvenirs—signs of mutual respect and cultural appreciation. The warm atmosphere and strong communal spirit were a testament to the organisers’ dedication to preserving age-old customs in a rapidly modernising world.

Among the honoured guests was Lo Khere Chiang, who expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Katang family and the organising committee for the kind invitation and for their efforts in making the evening memorable.
