LAWAS – More than 350 participants from diverse ethnic backgrounds came together at Dewan Kampung Luagan for the 2025 Limbang Division Community Solidarity Walk (RSK), an initiative aimed at promoting unity and social harmony across communities in northern Sarawak.

The programme, organised by the Ministry of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing (KPWK) in collaboration with various local agencies, included a series of interactive activities designed to foster understanding and inclusivity among residents.

The event was officiated by Lawas Member of Parliament, Dato’ Henry Sum Agong, who praised the turnout and commended all stakeholders involved in successfully delivering a high-impact programme.

“Unity and integration are the foundations of social, political, and economic stability in a multi-racial society like ours. They don’t occur by chance—they must be nurtured, especially among our youth, so that the values of harmony and solidarity are carried forward throughout life,” he said in his address.

According to Dato’ Henry, the event’s highlights—Mini Solidarity Townhall, Social Issues Dialogue, Community Solidarity Sports, and Solidarity Night—provided an open and engaging platform for participants to embrace shared values, regardless of race, religion, age, or background.

“Through meaningful engagement, we can foster mutual respect and create a supportive environment for addressing local challenges collaboratively,” he added.
