LIMBANG – The SePaL Excellence Award Ceremony (SEAC) 2025, organised by SMK Seri Patiambun Limbang, has become more than just a stage to honour student achievements — it is a reflection of the collaborative spirit between schools, parents, and the wider community in nurturing holistic, value-based education.
Held at Dewan Seri Perdana, the event was attended by over 300 guests and officiated by Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development Sarawak, and Member of the State Assembly (ADUN) for Bukit Kota, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail, who represented Deputy Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
In his speech on behalf of the Deputy Premier, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman highlighted the importance of shared responsibility in producing a generation that excels both academically and in character.
“The success of our students is not by chance. It is the outcome of strong collaboration — teachers who are dedicated, parents who support tirelessly, and students who persevere with determination,” he said.
He urged educators not to rest on their laurels but to continue innovating in the teaching process, while reminding parents to actively support their children’s education at home rather than placing full responsibility on the school.
The SEAC 2025 ceremony honoured Form 1 to Form 5 students who demonstrated outstanding academic achievements throughout the year. The award serves not only as recognition but also as a motivational platform to encourage a healthy competitive spirit among students.
Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman also called on the school community to uphold a culture of excellence through holistic education that nurtures the nation’s future beyond academic grades.
“Let us continue building a generation that is competent, principled, and capable of leading this nation forward,” he concluded.
