Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Arrives in Miri Ahead of Sarawak Day 2025

MIRI – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, has arrived safely in Miri today ahead of the Sarawak Day 2025 celebration, which will be held tomorrow.

The arrival of the Head of State and his spouse at Miri Airport was met with a warm reception and full ceremonial honours by Sarawak state leaders.

Leading the welcoming entourage was Sarawak Minister of Transport, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, who also serves as the Minister Responsible for the Sarawak Day 2025 Celebration.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing, Datuk Rosey Yunus; Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Project Coordinator for Regional Development Agency, DBKU, and Islamic Affairs), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi; and Miri Division Resident, Galong Luang.

Upon their arrival, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah graciously received a bouquet of flowers from young Arryanna Qaisarra’s sister, adding a warm and memorable touch to the occasion.

The visit marks an important part of the Sarawak Day 2025 programme, a historic and significant celebration for the people of Sarawak.

This year, Miri Division has been given the honour of hosting the state-level celebration, which is expected to draw widespread participation and heartfelt pride from all corners of Sarawak.

The presence of the Head of State and his spouse underscores the importance of unity, heritage, and progress as the state commemorates its journey and achievements on this meaningful day.
