“Symbolically, Heroes’ Day is a moment to honour those who have selflessly defended the nation from threats, forging a path for the country’s growth and stability,” he said.

The Premier emphasised that the legacy of the national heroes must remain etched in public memory, acknowledging their role in building the nation’s civilisation. He noted that both pre- and post-independence sacrifices mark pivotal chapters in Malaysia’s journey.

He further urged the public to reflect on the peace, prosperity, and well-being currently enjoyed, attributing these blessings to the relentless efforts and pain endured by the nation’s past fighters.

“The blood and sweat of our warriors have yielded the harmony we now experience, and this peace is a gift that must be cherished,” he added.
