Gaming Copilot (Beta) available on Game Bar for Windows PC for Xbox Insiders

Xbox Insiders: Get First Look at Gaming Copilot AI (Beta)

REDMOND, WA, USA — Xbox Insiders on Windows PC are now gaining access to a limited beta test of a groundbreaking new feature: Gaming Copilot. This integrated AI assistant, available directly within the Xbox Game Bar, is designed to provide real-time help and information to players without requiring them to alt-tab out of their game.

The experimental tool, powered by advanced AI models, allows players to ask a wide range of gaming-related questions using a simple chat interface.

Users can request (walkthroughs), tips for defeating difficult bosses, explanations of crafting systems, or optimal settings to improve their PC’s performance for a specific title. The Copilot is designed to understand contextual questions about the game currently being played.

A key feature of Gaming Copilot is its ability to interact with the game itself. In supported titles, users can ask the AI to perform specific tasks, such as taking a screenshot or adjusting a particular graphics setting through voice or text commands, streamlining the gameplay experience.

The beta rollout is currently exclusive to members of the Xbox Insider Program on Windows, allowing Microsoft to gather feedback and refine the technology before a potential wider release.
