Kuching Waterfront Hosts Infinite Qi Gong Malaysia’s 10th Anniversary Carnival

Kuching Waterfront Hosts Infinite Qi Gong Malaysia’s 10th Anniversary Carnival

KUCHING – The Kuching Waterfront turned into a vibrant hub of energy and cultural exchange yesterday as around 900 members of the Infinite Qi Gong Malaysia Association gathered for the association’s 2025 Annual Carnival, which also marked its 10th anniversary.

The event, which drew participants not only from across Malaysia but also from Singapore, Australia, and Taiwan, reflected the association’s growing international network and the global appeal of Qi Gong as a traditional health and wellness practice.

Guest of honour, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Haji Hilmy bin Haji Othman, Mayor of Kuching North, graced the occasion and commended the association for its success in promoting a healthier lifestyle and building strong community ties over the past decade. He also expressed DBKU’s commitment to supporting inclusive events that encourage participation from all communities regardless of race or religion.

The carnival was a colourful affair featuring various Qi Gong demonstrations, mass group exercise sessions, and interactive community activities, much to the delight of both participants and visitors at the Kuching Waterfront. The scenic riverside setting added to the festive atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for all who attended.

Since its establishment, Infinite Qi Gong Malaysia has worked to promote physical and mental well-being through the ancient art of Qi Gong. The 10th anniversary celebration was not only a reflection of its achievements but also a symbol of unity, with participants from different backgrounds coming together in harmony.

The presence of international guests highlighted Kuching’s role as a welcoming destination for cultural exchange and wellness tourism, further boosting Sarawak’s reputation as a hub for inclusive community activities and healthy living practices. – DBKU
