Reinforcing the company’s focus on automation, digital transformation, and data-driven quality assurance.

As part of the event, Watima Testing formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), forging a pathway for shared research, hands-on student training, and academic-industry knowledge exchange.

The agreement is aligned with Sarawak’s Post-COVID Development Strategy 2030 and reinforces Malaysia’s ambition to become a leader in construction technology.

Established in 2006, Watima Testing has developed a strong reputation in geotechnical and materials testing over nearly two decades, serving both government and private sectors, and steadily innovating throughout its journey.

Tan Kai closed the ceremony emphasizing Sarawak’s confidence and ambition, saying that though Sarawak may be distant from Kuala Lumpur, its innovations often place it in the lead.

“Together, we are building Sarawak’s future stronger, safer, and better for everyone.”
