PADAWAN – Deputy Minister of Transport (Air & Road) and Mambong State Assemblyman, Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil, presided over the Community Solidarity Wandering (RSK) Programme, underscoring unity as the bedrock for Sarawak’s social and economic advancement.
The event, held at the Kampung Braang Timurang Multipurpose Hall, drew over 300 attendees from eight surrounding villages, demonstrating strong local cohesion.
Datuk Dr. Jerip emphasized that harmonious relations and mutual respect are fundamental to societal progress.
He stated that the collective participation of diverse community groups at the programme exemplifies the solidarity vital for Padawan’s continued prosperity.
He urged residents to actively nurture this spirit of togetherness in their daily lives, ensuring it is passed on to future generations.
The initiative, organized by the Social Development Council under the Ministry of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing, in partnership with the Kuching Division Resident’s Office and Padawan Sub-District Office, featured interactive sessions designed to gather community feedback and fortify collaboration with government agencies.
This aligns with the state’s broader 2030 vision of inclusive development, aiming to leave no community behind.
Also in attendance were Kuching Division Resident Dayang Joanita Azizah Abang Haji Morsidi and senior representatives from the ministry and district offices.
Datuk Dr. Jerip, known for his focus on community leadership and development, highlighted the importance of strategic planning by local leaders to sustain this momentum.
