LUNDU – “Today’s challenges do not dictate tomorrow’s failures.” This powerful message was the core of an inspiring speech by Opar State Assemblyman (ADUN), Billy Sujang, who recounted his personal journey from studying by lamp light in a village to becoming a people’s representative.
Speaking at the Form 5 Consensus Day at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK Senibong), Sujang emphasised that discipline, persistent effort, and parental support are crucial for student success.
Sujang shared his experiences, highlighting that success is not reserved for those who are inherently talented, but for those who persevere.
“Do not let today’s challenges discourage you, for education is the key to a brighter future,” he stated during the event on Friday.
During the same event, Sujang announced an allocation of RM310,000 for the renovation of the SMK Senibong football field.
This initiative aims to enhance the school’s sports facilities, providing more opportunities for students to develop their talents in co-curricular activities.
Additionally, Sujang revealed plans for a new fence around the school premises to improve safety and educational infrastructure.
