JKKK Kampung Sebuak and YB Lo Khere Chiang Extend Aid to Fire Victims

KUCHING — The Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Sebuak, together with Batu Kitang assemblyman YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, handed over donations to four families affected by a recent fire in Taman Indah Landeh.

The presentation ceremony, held with the presence of the elected representative, reflected the spirit of community solidarity and compassion towards the victims. The assistance, which included financial support and essential items, was aimed at easing the burden of the families as they recover from the tragedy.

YB Dato Ir Lo said the contribution was part of ongoing efforts by the community and leaders to ensure those affected by disasters do not feel left behind.

“This donation is not only to provide temporary relief but also to show that the people and their leaders stand together during difficult times. We hope it will give encouragement and strength for the victims to rebuild their lives,” he said during the event.

The families, who lost their homes and belongings in the fire, expressed their gratitude for the assistance. They said the support came at the right time, as they were struggling to cope with the immediate impact of the incident.

JKKK Kampung Sebuak residents added that such initiatives highlight the importance of cooperation between village committees, local leaders, and the community. He stressed that caring for one another is a value that must be preserved, especially in times of hardship.

The handover of aid is expected to bring some comfort and motivate the affected families to move forward despite the challenges they face.
