Premier Meets TYT Sarawak to Discuss Key Cabinet Matters

KUCHING – His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, the Sarawak State Chief, today received a courtesy visit from the Premier of Sarawak, His Excellency Datuk Patinggi Dr. Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, at the Office of the Sarawak State Chief Minister.

The meeting, held in conjunction with the upcoming Sarawak State Cabinet Meeting, was part of the Pre-Council session where several important matters concerning the state’s administration and governance were presented by the Premier to His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri.

In line with the provisions of the Sarawak Constitution, the session served as an avenue for the Premier to brief His Excellency on current policy directions, development strategies, and the progress of major state initiatives. The discussions reflected the close working relationship between both leaders, ensuring that Sarawak’s governance remains guided by constitutional order and mutual respect between the State Chief and the Premier.

During the meeting, His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri shared several views and recommendations for the Premier’s consideration, particularly on sustaining good governance, encouraging continuous development, and strengthening unity among Sarawakians.

His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri also expressed confidence that under the strong and visionary leadership of the Premier, Sarawak will continue to advance towards becoming a prosperous, peaceful, and united state. He highlighted the importance of maintaining harmony among the people as the foundation of the state’s ongoing progress and stability.

The cordial meeting underscores the commitment of both leaders to uphold the values of collaboration, integrity, and service to the people of Sarawak, ensuring that the state remains on a steady path toward growth and unity.
