MALUDAM – Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki has emphasised the importance of ensuring that all development projects in Maludam are delivered on time and without unnecessary delays.
Speaking during his official visit to the Maludam Sub-District Office in Pusa on Monday, he highlighted that every initiative undertaken in the area must serve the needs of the local population and align with the state’s long-term vision of “Sarawak Maju Makmur”.
The State Secretary urged implementing agencies to maintain strict oversight of ongoing works, stressing that challenges should be identified early and resolved promptly to avoid setbacks.
He noted that efficiency in project management is vital to guarantee that infrastructure developments benefit residents as intended.
The visit underscored the state’s commitment to strengthening coordination between government departments and local authorities.
By enhancing collaboration, the administration aims to improve service delivery and ensure that projects are executed smoothly.
Among the key undertakings in Maludam are the construction of the New Maludam District Office and the New Maludam Mosque, both of which are expected to play a central role in supporting community needs and administrative functions.
These projects form part of broader infrastructure improvements across Sarawak, designed to uplift rural areas and provide modern facilities.
Officials accompanying the State Secretary included Datu Buckland Bangik, Deputy Secretary to the State (Administration), Datu Richard Micheal Abu Nawas, Resident of Betong Division, Rusmaliza Mat Darus, Director of the Administration Unit at the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Mohd Dino Amit, Saratok District Officer, and Jamain Wahab, Pusa District Officer.
Their presence reflected the collective effort of multiple agencies to ensure that development in Maludam progresses in line with state priorities.
Sarawak’s government has consistently emphasised the need for timely delivery of projects, particularly in rural districts where infrastructure gaps remain.
According to state planning documents, initiatives such as new administrative centres, religious facilities, and road upgrades are part of a wider push to balance development between urban and rural communities.
The call for punctual completion also resonates with broader national development strategies, where efficiency and accountability are seen as crucial to maximising public investment.
In Sarawak, the “Maju Makmur” vision seeks to create a prosperous and sustainable state, with infrastructure serving as the backbone of economic and social progress.
By reinforcing the message in Maludam, the State Secretary has signalled that the government will continue to monitor projects closely, ensuring that communities benefit from improved facilities and services without delay.
