Kedah Immigration Sends Home 102 Undocumented Migrants via KLIA1

KLIA1 – A total of 102 undocumented migrants (PATI) of various nationalities were sent back to their home countries today in a coordinated operation carried out by the Kedah Immigration Department. The repatriation flight departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA1) under strict monitoring to ensure a smooth and safe process.

According to the department, the group consisted of 93 men, 5 women, 2 boys, and 2 girls from Myanmar and China. All individuals had gone through the necessary documentation and security checks before being placed on the designated flight.

The operation was led by TPPI Ishak bin Hamzah, supported by a team of 13 enforcement officers. The Immigration Department emphasised that every step of the process followed standard procedures, prioritising safety and human dignity.

Officials stated that the repatriation was part of an ongoing nationwide effort to manage undocumented migrants more effectively. Regular operations are carried out across the country to track, detain, and verify foreigners who overstay or enter Malaysia without valid documents.

The department added that the cooperation between multiple agencies helped ensure the smooth handling of the migrants from detention facilities up to their departure point at KLIA1. Medical checks, identity verification, and transportation logistics were all managed in a coordinated manner.

The Kedah Immigration Department also reminded the public and employers to follow all immigration laws. They stressed that strict action will continue against those who harbour or employ undocumented individuals.

This latest repatriation reflects Malaysia’s consistent stance on immigration control, built on long-standing policies while adapting to today’s challenges. With continuous operations and enhanced coordination, authorities aim to maintain national security while upholding Malaysia’s responsibility to manage migrants fairly and firmly.
