Immigration Busts Hidden Prostitution Ring Run by Foreign Syndicate

PUTRAJAYA — The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) has uncovered a secretly operated prostitution ring involving foreign nationals during a late-night enforcement operation at a three-storey shophouse in Klang Sentral, Selangor. The raid, carried out at 10.25pm on 1 December 2025, followed two weeks of intelligence gathering and public complaints.

A total of 21 individuals were inspected, and 17 foreigners — eight Bangladeshi men and nine Vietnamese women aged between 21 and 32 — were detained for overstaying and lacking valid travel documents under the Immigration Act 1959/63. Their arrest underscores yet another case of foreigners misusing their passes and engaging in activities that violate Malaysian law.

The illegal operation was found hidden behind what appeared to be a legitimate property management and import-export business. Investigators revealed that a Bangladeshi man, acting as the “Captain”, managed the daily prostitution activities. He is believed to have collected payments ranging from RM50 to RM80 for each client. The Vietnamese women involved were reportedly earning between RM400 and RM600 a day through these illicit activities.

Authorities also believe a local man known only as “Kevin” is the main mastermind overseeing the entire setup and profiting from the unlawful operation.

All detainees have been transferred to the Putrajaya Immigration Detention Depot for further investigation. JIM emphasised that it will not tolerate foreigners who overstay, misuse their passes, or engage in criminal activities. The department also warned that stern action will be taken against individuals who shelter or protect illegal immigrants (PATI).

JIM confirmed that similar operations will continue nationwide to combat immoral and illegal activities, especially those that exploit foreign workers or threaten public order. The department reminded the public to continue channelling credible information to help authorities maintain safety and uphold Malaysian law.
