The site handover ceremony for one of the projects was held on Wednesday, witnessed by Meradong State Assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing.

The projects will be implemented by the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarikei Division under the state’s rural infrastructure agenda.

The first project, with an allocation of RM90,000, focuses on upgrading electrical wiring and improving the road frontage at Rh Tunjang, Sungai Lelabi, Bintangor.

The works include replacing outdated electrical systems to enhance safety and energy efficiency, alongside improving the access road in front of the longhouse.

The upgrades are expected to ease movement for residents, particularly during the rainy season when road conditions often deteriorate.

The second project, valued at RM100,000, involves infrastructure improvements at Balai Raya, Scheme B, Meradong. The scope includes constructing a new room, upgrading the awning, and reinforcing fencing.
