OSAKA – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, have safely arrived in Osaka, Japan, early Monday morning for their official family vacation.
The delegation, which included their children and grandchildren, landed at Kansai International Airport after a flight of more than six hours from Kuala Lumpur.
They were warmly received by Datuk Shahril Effendy Abd Ghany, Malaysian Ambassador to Japan, together with senior officers from the Malaysian Embassy.
On arrival, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi and Toh Puan Fauziah appeared in good health and cheerful spirits, accompanied by their family members.
The entourage then proceeded to a hotel in Osaka to check in and rest before embarking on their first scheduled tour programme at noon.
The Governor expressed his hope that the visit would run smoothly and provide opportunities to appreciate Japan’s cultural richness, history and scenic beauty. He also prayed that the trip would create lasting and meaningful memories for his family.
This visit marks the continuation of the Governor’s official vacation abroad, reflecting both cultural appreciation and family togetherness during their time in Japan.
