“Sports activities are the best medium to unite communities of all ages, in addition to instilling noble values such as sportsmanship, discipline and tolerance,” he said in a speech delivered by his Special Officer, Raffendy Ariffen, during the festival’s opening and closing ceremony at the Kampung Tanjung Kelaso Futsal Field on Tuesday.

The event, which was marked by lively participation and consensus, provided opportunities for villagers to interact directly, bridging relationships between younger and older generations in a harmonious atmosphere.

Awla emphasised that the true success of such programmes lies not in winning competitions, but in the spirit of togetherness and unity fostered throughout the activities. He noted that the festival highlighted the importance of collective participation in building stronger communities.

He also stressed that the N.25 Simunjan Assemblyman Service Centre remains open to receiving feedback and addressing the needs of the people, ensuring that community prosperity is prioritised.
