Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Visits Bukit Mahmoodiah Royal Tomb

JOHOR BAHRU – His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim visited the Bukit Mahmoodiah Royal Tomb in Johor Bahru today, marking the first day of 2026 with a solemn tribute.

The visit included a Yassin recitation and a brief tahlil, reflecting the Agong’s respect for the royal ancestors laid to rest at the historic site.

The ceremony was conducted in a serene atmosphere, underscoring the importance of remembrance and prayer in honouring past generations.

Bukit Mahmoodiah Royal Tomb is a significant heritage site in Johor, serving as the final resting place for members of the Johor royal family.

The Agong’s presence at the tomb highlights the continuity of tradition and the deep reverence for the state’s history.

The visit also symbolises Sultan Ibrahim’s commitment to preserving cultural and religious practices while reinforcing the values of unity and respect within the community.

The quiet ceremony at Bukit Mahmoodiah set a reflective tone for the new year, reminding Malaysians of the importance of heritage, faith, and gratitude as the nation steps into 2026.
