JPJ Limbang Inspects 157 Vehicles in Daily Ops Enforcement

LIMBANG – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Limbang Branch carried out its Daily Ops enforcement operation on 15 January 2026 (Thursday), focusing on patrols and monitoring across Limbang town and static enforcement at several key routes.

The operation covered Jalan Buansiol / Jalan Terabang By-Pass, Jalan Pendaruan, and Jalan Kubong, where officers inspected both commercial and private vehicles.

A total of 157 vehicles were checked during the exercise. Inspections revealed several offences, including expired driving licences, lapsed road tax, lack of insurance coverage, and other violations related to vehicle technical specifications.

JPJ Sarawak stressed the importance of compliance with road regulations, reminding motorists to ensure that their licences and vehicle documents are valid and renewed.

Drivers were also urged to maintain their vehicles in good condition and adhere to technical requirements to avoid penalties and ensure safety.

Officials highlighted that such enforcement operations are part of JPJ’s ongoing commitment to improving road safety standards across Sarawak.

By conducting routine checks, JPJ aims to reduce risks associated with unfit vehicles and unlicensed drivers, while reinforcing public awareness of legal responsibilities.

The department reiterated its advice to all road users: compliance with regulations not only prevents legal consequences but also contributes to safer roads for the wider community.
