KOTA SAMARAHAN – The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) continues its Idle Vehicle Operation in the Desa Ilmu 2.0 commercial area, reinforcing its commitment to cleanliness, public safety, and maintaining the municipality’s image.
The enforcement followed a seven-day warning issued to vehicle owners. As no corrective action was taken, MPKS proceeded to tow and confiscate vehicles that failed to comply, in accordance with legal provisions.
MPKS highlighted that such operations are part of ongoing efforts to ensure the municipality remains clean, safe, and orderly.
The initiative also aims to provide a pleasant environment for the community, especially in busy commercial districts.
Officials noted that enforcement will continue periodically, reminding vehicle owners to adhere to municipal regulations and help maintain public spaces.
The operation reflects MPKS’s proactive approach to managing idle and abandoned vehicles, which can pose environmental, safety, and aesthetic concerns.
