PADAWAN – The upgrading of Kampung Giam Lama Road in Padawan has been completed, marking a major milestone under the Mambong DUN Rural Transformation Project (RTP). The RM100,000 project is expected to directly benefit local residents.
A final visit and handover ceremony was held on Tuesday to review the project’s quality and readiness, focusing on safety, comfort, and improved connectivity for villagers. Officials confirmed that the road meets all standards and is ready for public use.
This initiative aligns with the Sarawak Government’s ongoing efforts to enhance rural infrastructure in a fair and balanced manner, helping bridge the gap between urban and rural areas. The upgraded road is expected to facilitate smoother communication, transport, and economic activities for the community.
Authorities noted that projects like this improve the quality of life in rural areas, ensuring villages receive infrastructure support comparable to urban centres.
