YB Wilfred Yap Donates RM30,000 to SJK Chung Hua Stampin

KOTA SENTOSA – Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman YB Wilfred Yap recently visited SJK Chung Hua Stampin to hand over a RM30,000 Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant, aimed at supporting the school’s building fund.

The contribution is intended to assist ongoing infrastructure development and improve the learning environment for students. This initiative aligns with efforts to ensure schools in Kota Sentosa continue to receive practical and timely support.

During the visit, YB Wilfred Yap highlighted the importance of education as a long-term investment that demands consistent attention. He emphasized that vernacular schools, which often rely on community contributions alongside Sarawak GPS government assistance, play a vital role in nurturing future generations.

“Schools like SJK Chung Hua Stampin are central to shaping our next generation. This grant is part of our continuous effort to support school development and provide a better learning environment for students and teachers,” said YB Wilfred Yap.

He further reiterated his commitment to collaborating closely with school boards, parent-teacher associations, and the community to identify priority needs and ensure resources are channelled effectively. The grant handover is a continuation of his engagement with the school, following previous allocations under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) and Rural Transformation Project (RTP), which have supported infrastructure improvements and enhanced school facilities.

School administrators welcomed the contribution, noting that such assistance is crucial for maintaining and upgrading school infrastructure. The support is expected to benefit students directly, providing them with a more conducive environment for learning and extracurricular activities.

The event underscores the ongoing partnership between elected representatives and local schools, reflecting a shared commitment to educational development and the welfare of students in Kota Sentosa.
