SARIKEI – The Sarikei District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) successfully resolved a case involving keys left inside a vehicle on 5 February 2026 at Jalan Haji Karim, Sarikei.
The incident was reported at 8.38 pm when PKOD received an emergency call from the public. Within minutes, the MyASPA-O Charlie squad departed the operations centre and arrived on the scene at 8.45 pm.
The vehicle owner, Mr. Law Yokk, had accidentally locked his keys inside the car. A four-member team, equipped with specialised tools, was dispatched to safely unlock the vehicle. The operation was completed smoothly, with no damage to the car.
The swift response highlighted the efficiency and readiness of the Sarikei APM team in handling emergencies. Their prompt action ensured the situation was resolved quickly and remained safe and under control.
PKOD Sarikei emphasised that such operations reflect their commitment to public safety and their ability to respond rapidly to community emergencies.
The incident also underscores the importance of preparedness and coordination in delivering effective public service.
Residents expressed appreciation for the team’s professionalism and rapid response, which prevented further complications and reassured the complainant.
