Sultan Ibrahim Attends Wedding of Astaka Padu Chairman’s Daughter

GELANG PATAH – His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, attended the wedding of Daing Fatin Nurasyiqin Dato’ Dr Daing A Malek and Yousef Aba Zia at the Forest City Golf Hotel, Gelang Patah, on 6 February 2026.

The bride is the daughter of Dato’ Dr. Daing A Malek Daing A Rahaman, Executive Chairman of Astaka Padu and a member of the Johor Royal Council. His Majesty’s presence highlighted the strong ties between the royal household and prominent figures in Johor.

Upon arrival, Sultan Ibrahim was warmly greeted by Dato’ Dr Daing A Malek and the groom before being escorted to the main hall to witness the solemnisation ceremony.

The marriage was officiated by Dato’ Yahya Ahmad, Johor State Mufti, who conducted the religious rites. The ceremony included the symbolic cancellation of prayer water and the exchange of rings, officially marking the union.

Following the solemnisation, His Majesty joined the guests for the wedding dinner, emphasising the significance of the occasion. Family members, dignitaries, and close associates attended, making it a memorable celebration of unity and tradition.

Sultan Ibrahim’s presence underscored the importance of family, faith, and community in Johor’s cultural and social fabric. The ceremony also reflected the close relationship between the royal household and respected leaders in the state.
