The session was chaired by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and brought together leaders from across Malaysia to deliberate on matters of national and state importance.

The meeting provided a platform for coordination between the Federal Government and State Governments, ensuring that policies and initiatives are aligned with the needs of the people.

The agenda included presentations on emerging issues, reports from individual states, and discussions on matters requiring joint attention.

The MBKM meeting is a regular forum where state leaders share feedback and propose solutions to strengthen cooperation across different levels of governance.

Prior to the MBKM session, the Sarawak Premier held a four-point meeting with the Prime Minister at his office in the Parliament’s Conference Hall.

The discussion focused on key issues affecting Sarawak and broader national concerns, underscoring the importance of direct engagement between federal and state leadership.

The Premier’s participation reflects Sarawak’s active role in shaping national policies while ensuring that the state’s priorities are represented at the highest level.

His presence also highlights the importance of maintaining strong ties between Sarawak and the Federal Government, particularly in areas such as economic development, infrastructure, and social welfare.

The MBKM meeting continues to serve as a vital mechanism for dialogue and collaboration, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to cooperative federalism.

By bringing together First Ministers and Chief Ministers, the forum ensures that diverse perspectives are considered in decision-making processes that affect the nation as a whole.
