SELANGAU – The Selangau District Civil Defence Force (APM Selangau) responded promptly to a road accident near the Batang Mukah Bridge on Monday morning.

The District Operations Control Centre received an emergency call at 6:40 am reporting a collision involving a lorry and a Proton Saga car. Three Civil Defence members were immediately mobilised to the scene.

According to officials, two individuals were involved in the incident. The first victim sustained minor injuries, while the second escaped unharmed. Civil Defence personnel carried out an assessment and provided initial treatment at the location. Neither of the victims required transfer to a clinic.

Authorities highlighted that the swift response ensured the situation was managed effectively, preventing further complications. The Civil Defence Force continues to emphasise the importance of community awareness and timely reporting of emergencies.

The Selangau Civil Defence Force reminded residents that assistance is available around the clock. The public is encouraged to contact their hotline at 084-891285 or dial 999 in case of emergencies. Officials stressed that immediate reporting allows teams to act quickly and provide necessary support.
