MUKAH – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Mukah Branch organised a fast-breaking ceremony with tahfiz children on 11 March 2026, creating a warm and meaningful atmosphere at the Al-Quran Madrasah (MARQuM) during the holy month of Ramadan.
The event was attended by Mrs. Feridzah binti Awang Kadir, Head of JPJ Mukah Branch, along with JPJ staff who joined to enliven the programme and share the spirit of togetherness with the tahfiz students.
The evening began with a Ramadan tazkirah delivered by the Madrasah Head, offering spiritual reminders about the beauty of sharing sustenance and strengthening bonds of brotherhood. The talk emphasised the values of compassion, gratitude, and unity, which are central to the observance of Ramadan.
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Al-Quran donations by Mrs. Feridzah to the tahfiz children. This symbolic gesture reflected JPJ Mukah’s support for religious education and its commitment to nurturing the next generation of huffaz. The donation also underscored the department’s concern for the community and its dedication to uplifting Islamic learning.
The programme was designed not only as a charitable initiative but also as a platform to foster closer ties between JPJ Mukah and the local community. By engaging with the tahfiz students, the department demonstrated its role in promoting values of sincerity, love, and unity.
Such initiatives are seen as vital in reinforcing social cohesion, especially during Ramadan, when acts of kindness and sharing are encouraged. The event provided an opportunity for JPJ staff to connect with the community in a meaningful way, highlighting the importance of collaboration between government agencies and religious institutions.
JPJ Mukah expressed hope that similar programmes will continue in the future, strengthening relationships and instilling values of togetherness and gratitude. The department reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community-based activities that reflect the spirit of Ramadan and contribute to the well-being of society.
As Ramadan progresses, events like this serve as reminders of the importance of faith, charity, and unity, ensuring that the blessings of the holy month are shared widely across Mukah and beyond.
