DARO – YB Dr Haji Safiee Bin Haji Ahmad, Assemblyman for N.43 Daro, officiated the Iftar Ceremony for the 2026M/ 1447H Ukhwah Connection organised by the Daro Malay Welfare Trust Board and JKP Masjid Al-Muhsiniin Daro on Friday evening.
The ceremony also included the presentation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations to mosques and surau across DUN N.43 Daro. In total, RM123,000 was distributed to 21 mosques and surau, as well as the Saberkas Daro Branch, to support activities and programmes throughout Ramadan and the upcoming Aidilfitri celebrations.
The assemblyman expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute, noting that the donations would help strengthen community spirit and support religious institutions in organising programmes that benefit local residents.
Also present at the event were Mukah Division Resident Datu Kueh Lei Poh, Daro District Officer Tuan Zul Haji Usup, Daro District Engineer JKR Tuan Faizol Bin Hasim, representatives from KPD Matu Daro, Inspector Daneil Bin Paulus from PPD Daro, Cikgu Ismail Bin Majelis, and Pemanca Lau Oi Phen.
The ceremony, held at Masjid Al-Muhsiniin Daro, reflected the values of unity, generosity, and care during the holy month, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between leaders, institutions, and the community.
