JPJ Kuching Officers Assist Stranded Motorists

KUCHING – Officers from the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ) Sarawak assisted motorists whose vehicles broke down along the Pending Toll Road during patrols under Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

While carrying out enforcement duties, members of the Kuching JPJ Operations Unit responded quickly after spotting stranded motorists. They helped move damaged vehicles to safer areas, reducing the risk of accidents and easing traffic flow.

JPJ Sarawak said the actions reflect the department’s commitment to public service and community care. Officers on patrol are trained not only to enforce traffic laws but also to assist road users who face difficulties on the road.

The department stressed road safety involves more than regulations and penalties. Providing help during emergencies plays an important role in creating a safer and more supportive road environment.

The assistance also highlights the role of enforcement agencies in protecting road users, particularly during busy travel periods such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, when traffic volume increases.
