Sarawak Governor’s Office Hosts Aidilfitri Assembly at Astana

KUCHING – In anticipation of Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1447H, the Governor’s Office of Sarawak held a Council of Heads of Departments at Astana Sarawak, bringing together officials and community members to foster unity and prepare for the festive season.

The event was officiated by Tuan Haji Junih bin Salleh Ahmad, Private Secretary to the Governor of Sarawak, representing the Senior Private Secretary.

He was joined by Mr Samuel Simon, Senior Press Secretary; DSP Haraodi bin Wasli, Chief Security Officer of Astana Sarawak; and other senior officers, along with residents of the Astana community.

In his address, Tuan Haji Junih extended warm greetings from YBhg. Dato Sri Senior Secretary to the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, wishing everyone Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1447H.

He urged attendees to uphold strong work ethics and to make the most of the final days of Ramadan through reflection, devotion, and prayer.

He also highlighted the spiritual significance of the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the blessings of Lailatulqadar, encouraging the community to embrace this period for worship and self-reflection.

He emphasised the importance of strengthening family ties and travelling safely to hometowns for the festive period.
