SONG – The Civil Defence Force (APM) Song District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) responded to a road accident at Simpang 4 Jalan Takan on March 19.
The incident involved an adult male in a self-accident. He did not suffer any injuries, and officers confirmed there was no further risk to the public or responding personnel.
The case was classified as a KJR, part of APM’s standard response for road accidents. The team ensured the situation was safe before wrapping up the operation.
The APM Song branch reminded the public that emergency help is available through the 999 hotline. Prompt reporting allows responders to act quickly and manage situations more effectively.
Road safety remains a key concern in Sarawak. Authorities continue to urge motorists to stay alert, as even minor accidents can become dangerous if not handled properly.
Residents expressed relief that no one was hurt, noting that the quick response reflected APM’s readiness to act when needed. The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property across the district.
With festive travel periods approaching, drivers are advised to plan ahead, follow traffic rules, and stay focused on the road. The Civil Defence Force continues to play an important role in responding to accidents, disasters, and other emergencies throughout Sarawak.
