KUCHING – The 2026 Aidilfitri Open House for the Satok constituency drew a lively crowd of around 2,000 visitors at the Hikmah Exchange and Exhibition Centre on Sunday, reflecting the spirit of unity and togetherness across communities.
The event, organised by the Satok Service Centre, ran from 10am to 4.30pm and was hosted by Datuk Ibrahim Baki, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Utility and Telecommunication (Sarawak Energy Berhad and PETROS) and Satok Assemblyman.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Prof. Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, and Sarawak Government Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Several deputy ministers and state assemblymen also joined the occasion, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Visitors had the opportunity to mingle with local leaders while enjoying a wide range of traditional Hari Raya delicacies.
The menu featured classic dishes alongside cakes and pastries, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of Sarawak’s culinary heritage.
