Sarawak Officials Conduct IRSDA Project Monitoring Visit in Kota Samarahan

KOTA SAMARAHAN – The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) joined the monitoring visit of the IRSDA Project on 14 April, led by Datuk Dr Haji Abdul Rahman bin Junaidi, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department and Project Coordinator for the Regional Development Agency. The Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU) also took part in the programme.

The visit was attended by Kr Abang Ismawi bin Abang Ali, Chairman of MPKS; Kr Daily Anak Joseph, Deputy Chairman of MPKS; council members; and staff.

The programme began at the MPKS Tambirat Hawker Centre before continuing to several project sites across Samarahan, Sebuyau and Simunjan.

Projects under review included infrastructure upgrades, flood mitigation works and new road construction.

These initiatives form part of the wider development agenda aimed at improving connectivity, reducing flood risks and enhancing public facilities for local communities.

A detailed briefing was delivered by the MPKS Planning and Development Division, providing an overview of the progress and implementation of the projects.
