MAKSAK Sibu Charts 2026 Agenda to Boost Welfare and Sports

SIBU – The Sarawak Government Members Welfare and Sports Council (MAKSAK) Sibu Division convened its first meeting of 2026 on 6 April, focusing on strengthening welfare initiatives and promoting sportsmanship among civil servants. The meeting was chaired by Hj Abg Mohammad Porkan bin Hj Abg Budiman, Resident of Sibu Division.

The session reviewed activities carried out throughout 2025 and outlined plans for the year ahead. Among the highlights was the upcoming MAKSAK Berlanggar Meja programme, scheduled for 17 April 2026.

The event, which has become a signature initiative, will involve all government departments and agencies in Sibu Division and is designed to foster closer engagement with the public.

Also present at the meeting were the Sibu Division Youth and Sports Officer and the Sibu PBSB Sports Unit Officer, reflecting the collaborative nature of the agenda.
