Papar, Sabah – A fatal car accident occurred on Monday evening in Kampung Kawang, Kinarut, leaving one woman dead and two others injured.

Woman Ejected from Vehicle in Slippery Road Crash

Initial investigations revealed that a car, carrying three passengers, veered off the road due to slippery conditions. A 44-year-old woman was ejected from the vehicle during the skid and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The two other passengers, a 16-year-old and a 39-year-old, sustained minor injuries.

Fire and Rescue Respond to Accident

The Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department ( bomba ) received a distress call at 4:46 p.m. and deployed a team of 11 firefighters to the scene. One of the injured victims had already been removed from the wreckage by bystanders, while the other, who was trapped, was extricated by firefighters using specialized equipment.

Injured Transported to Hospital

Both injured individuals received first aid at the scene before being transported to Papar District Hospital for further treatment. The body of the deceased woman was handed over to the police for investigation.
