Sarawak Islamic Council Holds Appreciation Ceremony in Serian

SERIAN – The Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) Director, Sahibus Siyadah Ustaz Haji Mual bin Haji Suaud, attended the Appreciation and Friendship Ceremony organised by the Sarawak Islamic Council at the Panggah Hall, Serian Division Government Administration Centre.

The event was held to recognise the contributions and commitment of all parties involved in the successful organisation of the 65th Sarawak Level Tilawah and Hafazan Ceremony, which took place in February 2026 (1447H).

The ceremony highlighted the importance of collaboration between government agencies, implementing committees, and local communities in ensuring the smooth running of major religious programmes.

Among those present were Bukit Semuja State Assemblyman, YB John Ilus; President of the Sarawak Islamic Council, Datuk Haji Misnu bin Haji Taha; Serian Division Resident, Puan Caroline Cleophas Joseph; and Chairman of the Serian District Council, Dato Peter Minos.
