LAKMNS Delegation Meets Deputy Premier on Strategic Planning

KUCHING – The Chief Executive Officer of the Sarawak State Mosque Welfare Trust (LAKMNS), YBhg. Datu Haji Abdul Hadi bin Dato’ Sri Haji Abdul Kadir, led a delegation in a courtesy call on the Deputy Premier of Sarawak, YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hasan, at Wisma Sumber Alam on 4 May 2026.

During the meeting, the Deputy Premier, who also serves as Deputy Chairman of LAKMNS, was briefed on the organisation’s latest developments.

He shared his perspectives and offered strategic guidance to ensure LAKMNS remains relevant and competitive in strengthening the role of mosque institutions across Sarawak.

The delegation also presented plans for the upcoming Maal Hijrah Festival 1448H/2026, scheduled for June.

The festival will feature a wide range of activities, including spiritual programmes, community engagement initiatives, recreational events, and commercial components.

The aim is to foster unity, strengthen religious values, and encourage participation from diverse segments of society.

YB Datuk Amar emphasised the importance of LAKMNS continuing to adapt to changing times while maintaining its core mission of supporting mosque institutions.

He highlighted the need for innovation, effective management, and community-focused initiatives to ensure the organisation’s sustainability and impact.

The courtesy visit was attended by LAKMNS Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mohamad Feisal bin Said; Chief Officer of the Finance Department, Mrs Hajah Nona Zaharia binti Fadzil; Chief Officer of the Mosque Management Department, Mr Abang Bikusary bin Haji Kadir; along with several senior officers.

Their presence reflected the collective commitment of LAKMNS leadership to advancing the organisation’s objectives.
