KUCHING – The Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, welcomed an official visit from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) at their residence in Petra Jaya on 12 May.
The delegation was led by Sarawak IRB State Director, Mr Abang Ehsan bin Abang Abu Bakar, and included Mr Shahminan bin Ahmad, Public Relations Officer of the IRB Kuching Branch, as well as Mrs Ayiu binti Hasbie, Audit Officer.
The meeting was arranged to assist with administrative matters concerning the Governor and his spouse, particularly in relation to the services provided by the IRB.
The visit highlighted the IRB’s role in ensuring smooth facilitation of tax-related affairs for state leaders. The Governor expressed his gratitude for the efficiency and professionalism demonstrated by the agency, noting that the services provided had been handled effectively and without disruption.
The Inland Revenue Board, established under the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia Act 1995, is responsible for managing direct taxation in the country.
