Strategically located near the Kuching Sentral Bus Terminal and surrounded by commercial areas and eateries, the SR05 station will serve as the starting point of the Red Line in Phase 1 of the KUTS Project.

Once completed, the station will connect directly to SR06 at Kuching International Airport and subsequently to the city centre, offering seamless travel for both residents and visitors.

Sarawak Metro, the agency overseeing the project, emphasised that the development of the ART system is designed to improve connectivity, reduce traffic congestion and provide a modern, sustainable public transport solution for Kuching.

The integration of the Red Line with key transport hubs such as the airport and bus terminal is expected to significantly enhance convenience for tourists and strengthen mobility for the local community.
