MERBOK – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with Heads of Federal Departments and the Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP) of Kedah in Merbok, underscoring the importance of integrity and responsibility in public service.
During the session, Anwar highlighted the trust placed in civil servants and grassroots leaders to ensure that communities receive efficient and effective services.
He stressed that these groups act as vital links between the government and the people, making cooperation and strong relationships essential for addressing local issues promptly.
“The Heads of Federal Departments and JPKKP are important liaisons between the government and the community. Therefore, close relationships and cooperation need to be further strengthened so that every problem faced by the people can be identified and addressed promptly and effectively,” he said.
The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to discuss current national developments, noting that Malaysia’s economy has shown encouraging signs of growth.
He attributed this progress to the policies and reforms introduced under the MADANI government, which aim to strengthen resilience and inclusivity.
However, Anwar cautioned against complacency, urging all government machinery to intensify efforts and reinforce a culture of responsibility.
“The achievements we have should not make us forget; on the contrary, I call on the entire machinery to redouble our efforts, strengthen a responsible work culture, and ensure that the benefits of development can be felt by the people as a whole,” he added.
Observers noted that the meeting reflected the administration’s focus on bridging national policies with grassroots realities.
By engaging directly with federal and village-level leaders, the government aims to ensure that reforms translate into tangible improvements for citizens.
The session in Merbok forms part of a broader effort to strengthen collaboration across all levels of governance, reinforcing the MADANI vision of a Malaysia built on values, inclusivity and sustainable progress.
