KUCHING – His Excellency the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, visited Kuching Specialist Hospital on Tuesday evening to see their daughter, Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima, who is currently undergoing treatment and monitoring.
The Governor and Toh Puan were warmly received upon arrival by Dr Mahadhir Alhady Sulaiman, Medical Director of Kuching Specialist Hospital, and Puan Nor Azlina, the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer.
Also present during the visit was their granddaughter, Hajjah Sharifah Fariah’s daughter, who joined the family at the hospital.
It is understood that Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima began experiencing health issues while performing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land. After returning to Kuching, she underwent further medical examinations before being admitted to Kuching Specialist Hospital for continued care and observation.
The visit reflected the Governor and Toh Puan’s concern and support for their daughter’s recovery. They expressed heartfelt prayers for her health, asking that she be granted strength and ease throughout her treatment process.
Their presence also highlighted the importance of family solidarity during times of illness, offering comfort and encouragement to their daughter.
Hospital officials assured the family that Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima is receiving comprehensive medical attention, with close monitoring to ensure her condition improves steadily.
The Kuching Specialist Hospital, known for its advanced facilities and professional care, continues to play a vital role in providing specialised treatment for patients across Sarawak.
Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan conveyed their hopes that their daughter’s recovery would be swift and complete, and prayed that she remains under the protection and blessings of Allah SWT.
