Their granddaughter, Hajjah Sharifah Fariah, was also present during the visit. Hospital officials, including Chief Executive Officer Puan Nor Azlina Jemain and Operations Manager Puan Alice Rina Kandadi, welcomed the Governor and Toh Puan upon arrival.

The couple was later briefed by Dr Chai Chiun Hian and Dr Wendy Loh, who provided updates on their daughter’s condition.

Medical staff confirmed that Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima has shown positive signs of recovery. She is expected to be discharged from the hospital following steady progress in her treatment.

The governor and Toh Puan expressed gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for their dedication and professionalism throughout the care process.

This visit follows earlier reports that Hajjah Sharifah Nong-Jasima experienced health complications during the Hajj pilgrimage, which led to her admission for further monitoring and treatment in Kuching.

The governor and his wife emphasised their appreciation for the hospital’s commitment to patient welfare, noting the importance of family support during times of illness.

Before departing, the governor and Toh Puan took time to greet hospital staff and visitors, reflecting their concern for community engagement and solidarity.

Their presence highlighted the values of compassion and resilience, reinforcing the significance of family unity in overcoming health challenges.

KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital, recognised for its advanced facilities and experienced medical team, continues to play a vital role in providing specialised healthcare services in Sarawak.

The governor’s visit underscored the importance of such institutions in supporting both patients and families during critical periods of recovery.

The governor and Toh Puan conveyed their hopes for their daughter’s swift recovery, offering prayers for her continued strength and wellbeing.

Their visit served as a reminder of the enduring role of family bonds and the collective support of healthcare professionals in ensuring positive outcomes for patients.
