SENADIN (July 24): A 10-foot-long crocodile was successfully captured during a special operation in Senadin, Miri on Friday (July 24), following concerns from residents over the presence of the dangerous reptile in the area.
The operation was carried out by licensed crocodile catcher Team Eric Cat, with the cooperation of Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) and the Police. The successful capture helped to reduce safety concerns among local residents living nearby.
The operation was launched after members of the public reported seeing a crocodile in the Senadin area. The authorities and the response team acted quickly to locate and capture the animal while ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
Team Eric Cat, a licensed crocodile catching team based in Miri, thanked SFC for the trust given and the Police for their support throughout the operation. The team also expressed appreciation to residents who provided information that helped locate the crocodile.
The team said they will continue to remain ready around the clock to assist with crocodile-related incidents and protect the safety of the community.
